A source close to the Texas program has confirmed that current Mississippi State defensive coordinator Manny Diaz will become the new defensive coordinator for the University of Texas.
Diaz is 36 years old and received his bachelor’s from Florida State University in 1995, where he went on to become a graduate assistant before starting his coaching career with NC State, Middle Tennessee State, and finally Mississippi State.
