Week 9 in the NFL is here, and 6 more teams with a bye this week. Week 9 will be missing stars such as Ryan Torain, Santana Moss, Chris Johnson, Randy Moss, MJD, Frank Gore, Kyle Orton, Stephen Jackson, and much more. Last week my start ‘ems performed a bit average other than Charles, but please remember I’m picking players to plug into your lineup due to injuries or byes. You already know you’re going to start your 1st round pick, I don’t have to tell you that. But who’s the average guy that’s going to produce average to great numbers in place of your star? Well here ya go:

Start ‘Em

PosPlayerProjectionNotes
QBJay Cutler225 Yards, 3 TDs, 1 INTAs most of my friends know, I HATE Jay Cutler, I don’t think he will ever be an elite QB. But everyone has their bright spots. Jay’s is the Buffalo Bills. The Bills, my favorite team, don’t give up a lot of passing yards, but have given up the 3rd most passing TDs and only 1 INT.
QBMark Sanchez250 Yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTThere’s not too many QB’s other than your normal studs I like this week. I expect Sanchez to bounce back from his rough game last week Vs. GB and put up an average day Vs. the Lions.
RBBenJarvus Green-Ellis100 Yards, 1 TDSo the Patriots run the ball now? He tore up a good Vikings run Def and look for him to tear up the Browns.
RBAhmad Bradshaw125 Yards, 2 TDYou’re crazy to not start this guy, He’s a rushing machine. Lacking a bit in the TD Dept, but I expect that to change this week Vs. the Seahawks. The Seahawks have only given up 5 TDs all year, but new QB for Sea means more turnovers and better field position for the Giants.
WRStevie Johnson75 Yards, 1 TDI will continue to put this guy here until he stops scoring TDs. Bears have only given up 5 Passing TDs all year. Stevie will make it 6 or 7.
WRPatrick Crayton60 Yards, 1 TDNeed a bye-week filler? Injury? Heres your man. Gates is now doubtful this week. Chargers are a passing team and are going to pass. That simple.
TEJacob Tamme50 Yards, 1 TDSay hello to Mr. Tamme. Manning loves his TE’s and with Clark gone he will score. If this guy is somehow still a FA in your league, pick him up!

Sit ‘Em

Now my Sit ‘ems I did much better at last week. Nailing all but 2 (Stafford & Green-Ellis). Please remember my sit ‘ems are players that are generally expected to do good things, but I just don’t see it happening.

QBMatt Cassel225 Yards, 1 TD, 1 INTI still see people loving this guy, and I just don’t understand it.
QBMatt Schaub250 Yards, 1 TD, 2 INTWhat happened here? What happened to 2009? This week brings the Chargers and their #1 Defense in the NFL. Don’t expect anything good to happen with that.
RBLeGarrette Blount75 Yards, 0 TDOk, the guy had a great week last week. Are we forgetting he couldn’t make it on what, 2 other NFL teams? He beat up a weak Cardinals Defense. Falcons have only given up 3 Rushing TD’s all year.
RBRonnie Brown60 Yards, 0 TDHasn’t scored a TD since week 1, & playing the Ravens.
WRTerrell Owens45 Yards, 0 TDEveryone is loving TO now, 4 weeks in a row huge games. Browns, Bucs, Falcons, Dolphins.. None are great Passing defenses. Take away 2 fluke TDs last week and it’s back to reality for TO. Hello Steelers.
WRAndre Johnson65 Yards, 0 TDFantasy Football Rule #1: Never bench your studs! Well I don’t follow this rule and neither should you. Playing the Chargers Defense thats only giving up 1 TD a week.
TEGreg Olson30 Yards, 0 TDMatchup looks great in Buffalo, and I have Cutler doing well. TE’s score in the redzone, The bills have one of the worst rushing Defenses in the NFL, I expect them to run or pass to the RB in the redzone.

That’s it for week 9, sorry it’s out so late. Any questions feel free to post a comment or Please Click on the Forums at the top of the page (Or Click Here) and post your questions in the Fantasy forum where others can help you out also.
